Guidance on emailing digital photos
Digital Cameras
• Ensure your digital camera is on its super fine setting or the highest resolution available. Ideally the higher pixels per square inch the better, the higher the file size the better. If you have a good compact digital camera it will probably save photos as JPEGs of about
1-5MB on higher quality settings. If they are smaller than this you may be able to change a setting on your camera so images are stored at higher quality – refer to your instruction manual. There is no limit on file size, it just depends on your internet connection speed and how long you wish to wait. Do not worry about the dots per inch (dpi) or resizing of the image; just send it at the highest possible quality. We have the latest software to resample or enlarge photographs
with fantastic quality retention
